DR. Zoey Friedman

Dentist

After completing her Bachelor of Sciences degree at the University of Western Ontario in London, Dr. Friedman returned home to Toronto to study for 6 years further at the University of Toronto to receive her Masters of Sciences degree, followed by a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Friedman loves establishing positive and long-term relationships with her patients, and being able to deliver the best possible treatment to them. Dr. Friedman continues to participate in continuing education courses to stay up to date with new techniques and advancements in dentistry. She enjoys practicing in all areas of dentistry; restorative, endodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics, and preventative care. Her favourite however, is cosmetic dentistry; she finds that giving people confidence to smile their most beautiful smile is very rewarding! Dr. Friedman is licenced to provide minimal oral sedation, including nitrous oxide.

In her spare time, Dr. Friedman loves spending time outdoors in nature, cycling, and hiking. She also loves exploring new areas around the city, as well as travelling abroad, and spending time with her family; her husband and dog Ernie.

DR. BESHOY TAWFIK

Hello! My name is Dr. Beshoy and I would like to thank you for choosing Scarborough Dental and Orthodontics. I believe that it is always important to provide excellent quality dental care in a caring and comfortable environment. My patients’ concerns, expectations and wishes are a priority in all my treatment plans for them.

I was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. In 2007, I graduated from Ain Shams University in Cairo with an Honours degree in Dentistry. In 2011, I moved to Montreal, where I took my National Dental Board exams at the University of Montreal. I then moved to Alberta, where I practiced dentistry for four years. As a lifelong learner who is passionate about dentistry, I took a variety of courses including a mini-residency implant program for over a year in Alberta. This made me a member of the ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists). I’m also a part of the Progressive Orthodontic Seminars, a two year program that enhances one’s knowledge about Occlusion and TMJ for a better orthodontic treatment planning for patients. I’m proud of this great addition to my experiential knowledge base.

I live in Ancaster with my wife and two young daughters. As much as I enjoy the challenges of dentistry and keep my knowledge and skills up to date with continuing education, I also love to spend time with my family and watch my daughters grow.

DR. REEM AL-KHUZAIE

Dentist

Dr. Reem Al-Khuzaie, a dedicated general dentist based in Ontario, she was born in Iraq and raised in Dubai, she studied dentistry at RAK College in UAE and graduated in 2014, she attended general dental residency after graduating for one year.

After that, she moved to Canada and became a licensed dentist in Edmonton, where she started practicing there. Later, she spent few years in Northern Ontario.

Dr. Reem’s priority is providing the highest standards in dentistry to her patients, she maintains highest level of accreditation and always keeping up with continuing education so you can be assured that you will be in good hands.

In her free time, she loves long walks on the beach with her dog and travelling to different countries to explore cultures, and living in the moment with her family.

Dr. RON RICHARDSON

Dentist

Dr Ron Richardson graduated from the University of Toronto’s dental school in 1980 . His focus on Hypnosis, Crown and Bridge, Implants, Children’s dentistry, Snoring, Sleep Apnea treatment and technology has kept the practice growing and relevant to his patients.

Dr. Richardson has supported community and charitable organizations by serving as President of his community association for 24 years, president of the Toronto Academy of Dentistry, as well as guiding the promotion of a major Toronto Dental convention.
Dr Richardson has recently completed another course in Sleep Medicine with the AADSM and attained a “Qualified Dentist” designation to upgrade his skills in treating Sleep Apnea and Snoring patients. You can see more at BetterNightsRest.com

Hello everyone! My name is Samta and I welcome you all to Scarborough Dental and Orthodontics. I have had the pleasure to work at SDO for over 22 years now. From seeing patients arriving in their baby strollers or in school uniforms to now seeing them graduate or bringing their little ones into the practice, it has been nothing short of a fulfilling journey.
I was born and raised in Amritsar and thereafter in Delhi, India. After graduating in Bachelor of Science from Lady Irwin College, Delhi University, I moved to Canada in 1997. After completing a two year program in Dental Hygiene at George Brown College in 2000, I joined Dr. Richardson at SDO in 2001. As a member of College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario and Ontario Dental Hygienists Association, I actively participate in Quality Assurance Program with continuing education every year to stay abreast with current research and findings.
Over the years, at SDO, I am grateful to all our patients for having allowed me to be part of their lives. Nothing makes me happier than being able to empower them to better take care of their oral health and make a positive change in their lives. I strive to continue to see your happy smiles as we grow together as a family!

Hello, I am Afroza Jasmine. Welcome to our office!
I was born in Bangladesh and moved to Canada in 2008. I completed ‘Dental Assisting program’ from George Brown College in 2016. I joined Scarborough Dental and Orthodontics in 2020. I am a member of the ODAA and constantly update my knowledge by attending continuing education courses and lectures.
I love what I do because it allows me to take care of patients in not only assisting the dentist but also in making sure that patients are comfortable from the moment they come in till they leave. I’m happy to be of assistance in building your smiles!!
